Volunteer Services
The Difference
All volunteers make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.
In-Home and Grief Volunteers comfort and support patients and families during a significant time in their lives.
Friends of Hospice, Fundraising and Thrift Store Volunteers help make it possible for Snowline Hospice to provide high quality care to all people in need, without charging for our services.
Administrative Support and Special Projects Volunteers help keep costs down by assisting staff with office operations.
All volunteers contribute to the health and well-being of the community by supporting the work of Hospice in whatever way they choose.
Snowline Hospice of El Dorado County, Inc. is a community based, nonprofit agency established in 1981 and is a licensed and Medicare certified Hospice. We serve the communities within western El Dorado County.
Why Volunteer?
Hospice is a philosophy of care for people who are nearing the end of their lives. The emphasis is on comfort care rather than curative treatment.
Volunteers make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.
The operation of any Hospice greatly depends on the work of volunteers. They help care for patients and families and provide valuable time in support of fundraising activities and in the running of the office itself.
There are many ways a volunteer may lend his or her talents, each offering different levels of time commitment.
